About The Artwork
A park near my home has a creek with many weeds called "phragmites" which turn from pale colors in the spring and summer to many shades of gold and orange in the fall. It is a brilliant sight and one I frequently come upon in my walks, and come home to try to capture in paint. My palette knife gives me the opportunity to layer many colors over each other, creating depth in my painting.
