About The Artwork
Another painting in the series of farm animals. I couldn't resist putting the Hereford Bull with the Ox-eye daisies not just because of the name but also because the they just seem to go so well together. In this series the Bull is painted on one sheet of 300 gsm Arches paper then matted and over the top of the matte another sheet with the daisies on it has been carefully hand sewn on. I really just wanted to break out of the idea that watercolour paintings have to have a matte surround by adding another image over the top.
