This artwork shows a headless female nude where raw minerality prevails over the model's body. The lines that usually outline the human figure are here embedded in a massive material, as if the woman we are looking at had been transformed into a compact block of stone just waiting to be sculpted. Petrification of Lot's wife? This paintography is a unique piece made in mixed technique on canvas which combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (shiny lacquered glazes and raised squares). The canvas is signed and dated on the back. The painting is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 35 x 45 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 80 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
