War has many casualties. Foremost is the loss of life, dignity, and freedom. 'Defilement of Virtue' illustrates one of the more insidious acts of war. Innocents is lost. The human body and spirt broken and subjugated by evil desire to control and degrade a person. The war in Ukraine has brought a moment of truth to those who value independence, truth, and respect for a democratic society. When an unprovoked attack on a nation occurs, our own security is brought into question. We must come together to support the cause of freedom from oppression, the people who are enduring strife, and those who's virtue is being defiled.
