About The Artwork
My work is spiritual, thematically and factually. It is definitely influenced by my culture and surroundings. Peru, my home, is extremely rich traditions and the graphic arts. The Conquistadores imported there culture that blended with the Andean to create a mix of quality and interest from which a number of painting schools where created like the Cuzco, Arequipa and Quito schools. I base my painting in such mestizo blend with immense depth and spirituality. My media is quite original with a particular decorative complement of the paintings. The colors are mostly traditional with a sense of timeless quality. I believe in the evolution of the arts. My style is purposely traditional with the idea of transcending the moment and giving the viewer the richness of humanity.
