About The Artwork
Via Roma is the main road in Courmayeur for shops, dining and the aperitivo time. I love going and seeing how the people dress up to come out at certain time, before dinner. This was inspired in a sunny afternoon this summer. I love how you can see the iconic Dent du Géant (the Giant's Tooth) peak in the background. I've chosen soft pastels as a medium, as I love the bright colours and how you can overlap and smudge the colours. I wanted to recreate a scene of a place that brings me joy.

I've fallen in love with pastels and charcoal, as I find them easy materials to express in paintings. I love the mountains, and want to reflect them in my drawings.
