Arial views of cities have always fascinated me. I have seen many views across New York at different times and in various weather conditions. In this painting a rainstorm was passing over the city as evening approached and the lights from the buildings and streets were shining through the mist. It was a very atmospheric moment and it was wonderful to capture it in paint.
