Contact us.Jon Osborne (b. 1985, Letohatchee, AL) lives and works in Birmingham, Alabama. Rooted in lyrical abstraction (music -to-color synesthesia) and narrative expressionism, his paintings unfold in visual storytelling of the resilience from the eyes of a Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor, and intuitive forms that surface and heals through the canvas. Shapes, patterns and symbols emerge, not as fixed visions, but as flickers of memory, emotion, and motion- a juxtaposition of the past, present and future.
Influenced by various genres of music, Identity, and visual storytelling moves fluidly between flow state and improvisation, synthesizing elements of street art, naïve figuration, and abstract gesture. His work channels both formal experimentation and music to color synesthesia, resulting in a language that feels at once spiritual and physical.
Osborne has exhibited Nationally in New York, North Carolina, New Orleans, and Mississippi, and is held in private collections worldwide. Since 2026, he has been represented exclusively by Grand Bohemian Gallery in Mountain Brook. Recent milestones include his 4th year as Guest Artist at the Kentuck Festival of the Arts (2026), Featured Artist and Libe painting at the Magnolia Ball at Ogden Museum of Southern Art (2026), and the solo exhibition “Avant Garden” at Birmingham Public Library (2026), followed by a group exhibition in Troy, AL in 2027.
