Peacock Painting

My inspiration to create this piece came from volunteering at an animal sanctuary called Horsepower for Kids. I hope the viewers will view this and take in the beauty that can be found in nature. I hope it encourages viewers to think about the preservation and conservation of natural environments. I chose acrylic because it is one of my favorite mediums to use. For this painting, I also included the use of iridescent paints. Peacock feathers naturally have iridescent colors to them so I wanted to use a medium that helped highlight that feature about this animal. This is creation 2 out of 4 in a series of birds painted on a 12 x 12 canvas.
