About The Artwork
On a recent safari in Tanzania, I photographed many animals, including this young elephant observing our vehicle from the foliage near the road. I selected this photograph for my first foray into realism simply because I thought he was as dignified as he was cautious. Until this piece I have painted only abstracts, but this young elephant spoke to me, and I had the most joyous time exploring him in paint. Mounting hardware included.
