About The Artwork

The artist, Robin Ballard, is inspired by nature as she walks through forests, along waterways and into marshlands. This painting comes from a scene the artist observed in the nature reserve, the Petite Camarque, which is located in the Alsace region of France. It is one of the few places along the Rhein where the river is allowed to seep into the adjacent land, causing a marshland filled with birds, wildlife and numerous ponds surrounded by plants and trees. This painting is part of the artist's “Habitat” series, which is a celebration of trees, plants, botanical forms and animals. The painting is stretched on a frame and is easy to hang.
