About The Artwork

Susan: [pointing to TV] What is this? What is that? Greg: Oh, yeah. I bought a new TV. In other news, I’m going to take a couple of weeks off work till my hand can heal completely. So you might want to pick up a few extra shifts at the pharmacy. You dumped me for this beauty. Susan: No! [slaps the remote from Greg’s hand] Greg: Hey. What the frig? Susan: Maybe you should pull up your pants, huh? Just hike them up, pack up your precious TV, get your lazy ass out of this house. Greg: Lazy? [stands up defiantly] How dare you! You know how much I hate that word. My parents used it, my teachers used it. And now you? Shame on you, Susan. You’re btter than that. Psycho Goreman (PG): The horrors you have just witnessed cannot be unseen. Your young minds will carry this until it consumes you in a miserable death. Mimi: Cool. Psycho Goreman (PG): I do not care for hunky boys... Or do I? Mimi: Love is for losers anyway. Luke: Oh yeah? I thought you were so in love with Alistair? Mimi: That doesn't count. We're just friends that are gonna get married and be together forever. And fight a lot, like mom and dad do. Greg: How great is this chicken, Alistair? It’s my special recipe. Alistair: It’s, uh… Luke: It’s a little tough, Dad. Greg: The microwave will do that. But it sure brings out the flavor. What did you three maniacs get up to? Luke: We, um…[Mimi kicks Luke under the table] Ow! Mimi: We were playing guns in the forest. Greg: Guns? Now that sounds like fun. Back when I was in the army, we used to play guns all the time. Except it was called the Iraq War. We played for keeps. Meaning I killed people. Susan: Okay, don't listen to GI Joker over there. He’s never fired a gun in his life. Greg: Anyways— Mimi: Ok, here's the deal, man. I'll give you the gem so you can kill that mean lady. But you have to promise that you won't kill us. Okay? Psycho Goreman (PG): I will not kill you, little creature. Or your family of idiots. Mimi: Do you mean it? Psycho Goreman (PG): Yes. Greg: Wait, what about telling him not to kill everyone else on the planet? Mimi: Oh, yeah. Oops. Greg: Oops is right! Mimi: [praying before a crucifix] Hi, God. Now I know I don't do all the goody-two-shoes stuff you say everybody should do. But I can't help it, and I'll do whatever the heck I want, ok? Anyways, I need your advice. A huge battle between evil and worse evil is about to go down. And I have a very big decision to make... . Which shades should I wear? That's a trick question. I know I'm gonna wear the zebra ones. In conclusion, why am I even talking to you? There's a new god in town. And his name is Psycho Goreman. And he's coming for ya, buddy! [snaps crucifix in half] from ‘PG: Psycho Goreman’ (2020) Starring Nita-Josee Hanna, Owen Myre, Matthew Ninaber, Steven Vlahos, Alexis Kara Hancey, Kristen MacCulloch, Anna Tierney, and Adam Brooks (Father’s Day). Written and Directed by Steven Kotanski (You had me at “Many moons ago”). PG: Psycho Goreman, or simply Psycho Goreman, is a 2020 Canadian science fantasy horror-comedy film written and directed by Steven Kostanski. It stars Nita-Josee Hanna and Owen Myre as a young sister and brother who unwittingly resurrect an ancient extraterrestrialoverlord (voiced by Steven Vlahos and played by Matt Ninaber). Psycho Goreman was originally scheduled to premiere at the South by Southwest film festival in March 2020, but the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It screened later that year as part of Beyond Fest, the Sitges Film Festival and Monster Fest. Having been acquired by RLJE Films and Shudder, Psycho Goreman was released in theaters and on video on demand on January 22, 2021. Astron-6 is a Canadian film production and directing company founded in 2007 by Adam Brooks and Jeremy Gillespie. The company later expanded to include Matt Kennedy, Conor Sweeney and Steven Kostanski, who are now equal partners in the company. Astron-6 is known for producing low-budget, 1980s-centric independent movies that often combine horror with comedy. A planned 2012 documentary No Sleep, No Surrender, which detailed the making and production of their 2011 film Father's Day, was never completed, though a teaser trailer was released. The follow-up to Father's Day, a Giallo-inspired horror comedy, The Editor, was directed by Adam Brooks and Matthew Kennedy in 2014. In 2016, Astron-6 produced the web series Divorced Dad. The series was described by the filmmakers as 'a love letter to the endearingly incompetent cable access television shows created by far from screen-ready small town celebrities during the 1980s and 90s'. Gillespie and Kostanski directed the 2016 horror film The Void, intended as a departure from Astron-6's more comedic work. The film showcases more of Kostanski's creature and practical effects as seen in Astron-6's earlier films. Source: Wikipedia

I’m (I am?) a self-taught artist, originally from the north suburbs of Chicago (also known as John Hughes' America). Born in 1984, I started painting in 2017 and began to take it somewhat seriously in 2019. I currently reside in rural Montana and live a secluded life with my three dogs - Pebbles (a.k.a. Jaws, Brandy, Fang), Bam Bam (a.k.a. Scrat, Dinki-Di, Trash Panda, Dug), and Mystique (a.k.a. Lady), and five cats - Burglekutt (a.k.a. Ghostmouse Makah), Vohnkar! (a.k.a. Storm Shadow, Grogu), Falkor (a.k.a. Moro, The Mummy's Kryptonite, Wendigo, BFC), Nibbler (a.k.a. Cobblepot), and Meegosh (a.k.a. Lenny). Part of the preface to the 'Complete Works of Emily Dickinson helps sum me up as a person and an artist: "The verses of Emily Dickinson belong emphatically to what Emerson long since called ‘the Poetry of the Portfolio,’ something produced absolutely without the thought of publication, and solely by way of expression of the writer's own mind. Such verse must inevitably forfeit whatever advantage lies in the discipline of public criticism and the enforced conformity to accepted ways. On the other hand, it may often gain something through the habit of freedom and unconventional utterance of daring thoughts. In the case of the present author, there was no choice in the matter; she must write thus, or not at all. A recluse by temperament and habit, literally spending years without settling her foot beyond the doorstep, and many more years during which her walks were strictly limited to her father's grounds, she habitually concealed her mind, like her person, from all but a few friends; and it was with great difficulty that she was persuaded to print during her lifetime, three or four poems. Yet she wrote verses in great abundance; and though brought curiosity indifferent to all conventional rules, had yet a rigorous literary standard of her own, and often altered a word many times to suit an ear which had its own tenacious fastidiousness." -Thomas Wentworth Higginson "Not bad... you say this is your first lesson?" "Yes, but my father was an *art collector*, so…"
