About The Artwork
Pharaoh's gold. Diptych. The geometric abstraction is inspired by slatted wooden wall panels. When plating with color, I wanted to achieve the effect of the old gilding of the pharaoh's tomb in the dim light of torches. Several different shades of Gold waxes have been used. The texture is emphasized with deep shadows. From a distance, the result resembles a bamboo roof. 2 Canvas 50 * 60 cm. Texture paste, acrylic, waxes.
