ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting came from an image taken in the 1930's in Trafalgar Square, London of children playing with the pigeons. I think that dark colours and faded figure in the background comes from the faded nature of the image. I am inspired by the idea of creating paintings that show only a snapshot of a moment in time - that they can transport you there. However, I am looking back through a contemporary lens and I think this brings back these moments to life. This is a small piece on an MDF Frame.
