sometimes faces get stuck in my retina. i find someone particularly attractive and I look at them in a way that allows me to remember them. at least that's how I explain to myself the coincidence of traits. this character reminds me of a famous illustrator. she is a woman but for some reason she does not strike me as such but more as a boy.
all artists have a thing with hands. it is like a fetish. it is a tool, and a way of expressing yourself. the hands can be trained.

About The Artwork

I am inspired by all the people that are creating their identities beyond the norm. To all that dare to be inventive about who they are, and also about how they present themselves. I agree with all the fuss about building a persona. I love drag and cosplay and customs and performances were you play some person you wish to be. The golden and pink light is the light of the sun though closed eyes. when you close your eyes and you are sunbathing, all you see is that light. for sun worshippers like I am that is bliss. it is indeed a color that is mentioned in guided the meditations. This canvas is stretched in a wooden frame that is 4 cms deep. you can request this to be sent in a tube (that is not stretched which is cheaper) or as is.

I am interested in experimenting with sincretic images that capture the whole range of religious experiences. I am inspired by the architecture and mural paintings of the Aztecs, Mayan, Zapotecan and other peoples from America and I like to intersect them with the aesthetics brought to America by the Spanish, like virgins, saints and holy beings. I intersect them with a third paradigm which is my personal journey into Indian philosophies and the idea of enlightenment. The result shows where I am now, believing that art is the way, and being an artist is my religion.
