About The Artwork
This is one of my abstract pieces of art. I used a lot of ink, pink, green and white with markers and coloured pencil on top. The gestural marks in this might be reminiscent of Cy Twombly. I have a genetic disorder, a deletion of a small, random part of my 8th chromosome which makes it hard for me to hold a pen and learn new things. My outlook on life and my personal experiences are expressed in my mark making. This work was made on Hahnemuehle Bamboo mixed media paper which has a slightly textured rough surface and is quite heavy paper with a weight of 265g/m2.
