Pinsanity!!! by Graham Sheen This piece consists of 27600 map pins in a 35 inch x 23 1/2 inch pin board. It has taken around 3 years to complete (on and off) started in 2009. The is the first of hopefully a run of experimental pieces i will be working on depending on funding. The piece has a great texture due to the layers of pins. This adds to the effect of the picture and gives the image plenty of depth. This also makes the work of interest to those who may suffer a visual imparement. Born in 1982 in Corby, Northamptonshire.I am currently living in Corby with my daughter. I find this helps me to keep active, creative and never in the same place, as anyone with children will know it keeps you busy. Each day is different and I believe this reflects in my artwork. I have been painting since 1999 and have found most enjoyment when using acrylic on canvas. I have however started to use other materials in my work. Taking inspiration from artists such as Phillip Sutton, Jackson Pollock and Dilorenzo my work has no rules. I have moved in to the world of abstract art, have created woodcuts and other exciting pieces. I take commissions and have recently completed two pieces for visitors to my site.
