Piti is the Pali word for rapture. It can also be translated as ecstasy or bliss, and this term most often appears in relation to states accompanying meditation. Its appearance is quite commonly and mistakenly taken for the achievement of Nirvana (Pali Nibbana). Piti is present in the first two states of absorption (jhana) and although at an early stage it allows to free oneself of attachements to the pleasures of excitement, glitz and entertainment giving more subtle pleasure in return, it can be an obstacle in the further way, so it is necessary to abandon it . It should be remembered, that bliss, delight and ecstasy are to some extent as addictive as other impermanent pleasures, and Nirvana means freeing oneself from all attachments. This artwork is painted on canvas stretched on wooden frame. I was using professional oil-colours with premium quality colour pigments that have high resistance to fading. Sides are continuously painted, so there is no need to frame. The picture is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity and ready for wall mounting. The work of art will be professionally carefully packed, shipped and insured. Shipment can be followed to your doorstep with the track & trace code.

Jacek Sikora - an actor by profession, painter by choice, traveler by twist of fate. He began his adventure with art by working on stage. Studies at Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame de Paris, and Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique opened him to the expression and code of gestures of the human body. The trace of stage work can be found in his figurative works, in which man is always at the center. His artistic path has evolved from acting and pantomime towards visual arts and easel painting. Enchanted by traditional Far Eastern ink painting on paper, he begins his artistic search with figurative art based on monochrome color, in which we find the most characteristic features of his work - color and detail minimalism. Over time, his works evolve towards color field painting, reducing detail from abstract paintings and introducing color to figurative ones, which emphasizes the importance of the symbols hidden in the paintings. Today, paintings by Jacek Sikora can be found in collections in Great Britain, USA, Russia, Australia, France, Cyprus, Emirates and Japan. He lives and works in Świdnica.
