Pablo López is an abstract painter who lives and works in Barcelona. He originally studied architecture, he obtained his diploma with a master's degree in urban planning and has worked for more than 20 years in the world of architecture and construction, especially in urban planning and large-scale building projects in Europe and North Africa. After years of working on architectural designs on screen and with digital images, he has needed to return working with his hands on canvas and paper. Between 2013 and 2018 he attended workshops in different artistic disciplines at the Art Academy Art School in London. Pablo López's work combines geometric abstraction with elements of architectural representation such as floor plans, sections, and facades of buildings, analyzing his architectural experience and the beauty of his urban environment. The synergy between art and architecture is central to his creations, where geometries and transparencies are intertwined with textures and harmonious color combinations. Her intuitive process involves layering shapes, colors and textures to reveal new connections within each piece.
