About The Artwork
When I studied at the Academy of Arts, we all the time drew plaster figures using the grizzly technique and I really liked it because it gives me special pleasure to draw gims, or something white, using the colors inherent in a strict academic drawing. When you abstain from the variety of colors and limit your palette to a minimum, completely new possibilities of form modeling open up, as if you begin to see more and more gradations of tone that envelops and creates the form.

I am Nadezhda Pestova. I was born in Russia in 1987. I graduated from the Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture by I. Glazunov in Moscow in 2016. The landscape and still life painting have always been the main themes of my artistic creation. Today I am also a teacher at two universities. I really like traveling around the world in search of new ideas for my pictures.
