About The Artwork
This is the pond of my summerhouse. It is a small one, full of algae and frogs.I like the color of the water - brownish and a little bit bluish, where is the reflection of the sky. I stood on a small bridge during the painting, the birds were singing, the frogs were croaking and insects were buzzing...It was a beautiful hot day. I started it on the last summer, but finished on January.It is an oil painting on canvas. I like the oil technique, because of it has so many possibilities to express my feelings through the colors.

I was born on October 1,1971 in Tartu, Estonia. Today I am a freelance artist.My main subject of painting is the nature. Because everything already exists in the nature - colours, forms, composition and even abstraction. The most important thing for me in my works is the light - the light brings out colours of the subject, gives shape to the model and composes the tone of the picture. And sometimes the light is my model by itself.
