This painting is dedicated to the first mass produced Porsche ever - the 356. Today a collector item for true car enthusiasts worth hundred of thousands of dollars. This photorealistic oil painting of the car was done on a linen canvas, handstretched on a wooden frame. The size 60 x 60 cm makes it an ideal embelishment to any gorgeous home or and elegant office. The methods I used are identical with those of old Flemish masters such as Vermeer. First I use soft layers of grey colour (so called "Grisaille" from French meaning grey). This gives me the possibility to fine tune each colour tone later. Than I apply glazing layers of other colours so that the final colour perfectly matches the real subject. Not just for car enthusiats but for any art lover this will be a nice addition to their collection.

I am Czech artist based in Prague. I focus on oil painting but also delve into sculpture. I specialize in monochrome miniatures but you can see that I do canvases in Art Deco style and modernistic geometrical compositions. You can check out my work at my website or my facebook. I am also a curator of Czech modern art and I try to promote other Bohemian artists at my annual "Wail of Silence" exhibition.
