About The Artwork
Inspired by Gustav Courbet's life as artist and radical revolutionary. His face is characterized by a wry smile and contrary attitude, wild eyes, and fiery temperament. During this summer's art events in Eugene, Oregon, I created a "Courbet Tent" of my own, exhibiting this and other paintings at Raven's Dress Shop, downtown. The show was up for 2 months and was a protest against the establishment, and against Trump.

Exhibited widely in Italy: Rome, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Terni, etc. A professional educator, taught full-time at Lane Community College for over 25 years and worked as a manager for Lane County Regional Information System. Arts activist founding many alternative art shows and galleries in the Eugene, OR and surrounding areas.
