About The Artwork
Based on contemporary icons and medieval painting techniques,(gold leaf, oil glazes), the painting is a metaphor of the human prenatal life. The motifs are symbollic as The Venus of Villendorf or prenatal portraits of children. The wooden board is from yacht shipyard and the composition is also submarine-like, so the title is Pre-Nautilion.
