Psychedelic Skull Painting

This huge mixed media piece is painted on heavy board and features lots of texture and light reflecting silver leaf , It can be free standing or would look equally impressive framed. The painting has been sealed with high gloss UV stable lacquer. I have an obsession with skulls and colour and also painting very large scale so this one is a culmination of all of that ! I’ve used a ton of silver leaf on this one too and it changes and reflects in the light . The colours are intense and bright with free flowing texture and set a striking contrast to the monochrome skull . I paint on canvas but furniture too and take my inspiration from nature mostly , amazing sunsets and sunrise , water , sun , clouds , rain , I also have a thing for rust and weather beaten wood and the incredible texture and colours time produces.
