Every summer, massive colonies of puffins can be found nesting in Icelandic cliffs. Each monogamous pair finds a somewhat sheltered location in the grass to create a ground nest, and then the male ferries food to the female, who lays a single egg. The male and female take turns tending to the egg, and later the chick, all surrounded by tens of thousands of other puffins doing the exact same thing. This piece aims to catch a tender moment from that massive undertaking.
