About The Artwork

You can watch the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfMPpX5pfac About: The Punk Baroque painting series is inspired by the mixture of art history and themes from popular culture, influenced by my life experiences. In this series I used to work with the representation of DJ´s as a symbol of the courage and fearlessness required to orchestrate our own lives. Like a fusion of Bach with Cumbias I blend graffiti roots with fine art academy techniques to incorporate geometric symbolism and my psychographic calligraphy to portray the often overlooked moments that shape our daily paths. The presence of Circular shapes plays a role in many Native American beliefs, rituals and traditions like cycle of life, seasons, time, family structure and gatherings. The portraits: - Nina Simone. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Simone - Virginia Woolf . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Woolf - Frida Kahlo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frida_Kahlo The bodies: a) Le couronnement de la Vierge by Peter Paul Rubens b) The virgin of the host by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres c) Our Lady of Guadalupe by Marcos Cipac de Aquino.

Psychographic artist with Hypergraphia My research is about a passage of time in a person’s life that is often shaped by challenges, interactions and encounters. I explore the relationship between graffiti roots and fine art academy to represent the music as a measure of time. The incorporation of my psychographic calligraphy describes secret poems in every canvas.
