Quadriptych, Flow series, "Swells" Painting

Contemporary and minimalist in style, "Swells" is comprised of (4) collaged paintings on archival watercolor paper depicting the surface of the ocean and sky above. Each sheet of paper measures 15" wide x 22" high. The individual skies were made as watercolor washes in subtle blue-grey. The cresting swells of waves were created by carefully tearing up large separately painted sheets and collaging them onto the sky washes. The water is indigo, white, and blue, textured, with brush strokes. "Swells" captures the sense of being at the ocean, feeling shifting air currents and observing their effects on the clouds and water. You may frame the (4) paintings separately, or together inside one long frame. Side by side with no space in between these paintings take up 60" of wall length. You will probably want to allow 1-2" in between them though for "breathing room". I have penciled position instructions on the back of each panel.
