Elizabeth I, Elizabeth Tudor (1533–1603) - Queen of England and Ireland from 1558, the last monarch of the British Isles from the House of Tudor. My works touch on the theme of cultural memory and aesthetics of the past. The art of the past can be reinterpreted within the framework of modernity and force the viewer to look into the depths of centuries. The textures of ancient frescoes, the monumentality of antique sculptures, the coloring of Renaissance book miniatures - all this became a source for my creative practice. The combination of elements of graphic drawing, painting and collage helps to achieve the depth of the hospice layer. To convey the effect of "fragility", charcoal, corrugated cardboard and other types of paper are also used in the work. The reworked images of various art trends create a dialogue between tradition and modernity. I first saw the works of Hans Holbein (or rather the series of engravings “Iconography” by Francesco Bartolozzi) as a child. I was incredibly lucky; in a small town in the Urals, where I was born and studied art, the world’s only museum of “Engravings and Drawings” was created. Therefore, the History of Art excites me and is an endless source of inspiration and Love! The canons of works of art have gone down in history, but continue to excite the feelings of millions of people around the world. I create works based on aesthetics that have inspired artists, musicians and poets for many centuries! You can touch it with me... This is a continuation of the antique series "ARCHAIC".
