ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The beautiful quiver trees in the Western Cape inspired me to paint this artwork. The reference was given to me by a photographer friend who is also a nature conservationist. These trees provide a home to the large communial weaver birds nests and dead tree trunks are used by locals as a natural fridge for storing food. Quiver trees are integral to this very hot semi-desert landscape and contribute so much to their environment. I hope the viewer can indulge in their silent strength.

I have always believed that there’s beauty everywhere, if I can’t see it I keep looking.
