About The Artwork
The painting depicts the nest of the Phoenix, which dies in the fire. The way the bird is arranged reminiscent the famous fossil of the feathered archaeopteryx. Dinosaurs have become extinct, and the extinction of many species is also currently underway. There are many depictions of the Phoenix being reborn, but here I have shown earlier moment – of its death. Title is the Latin phrase "See what comes of it, see what follows." The green egg represents hope. This work was prepared for the VIII International Biennale of Painting "Quadroart".
