About The Artwork
We were sailing down the Tuparro river almost at dusk when I saw these clouds and I asked to stop for a few moments to take some photos; I was working as a volunteer in the El Tuparro National Natural Park at the end of 2018. This park is on the border between Colombia and Venezuela on the banks of the great Orinoco River. The landscape there is wonderful and I have captured some of it in my paintings. This painting I felt it had to be done in soft Pastels

I am a Colombian artist passionate about nature and landscape, I appreciate the natural beauty of things and try to capture it in my works. I often go to the forest or the jungle to enrich my mind and learn about new shapes and colors. I am currently living in a small town called Ibague (Colombia) which is located in the central Andes mountains, I was always drawn to the natural world and over time I became an amateur nature photographer and began to focus on the landscape in my paintings. I have visited many regions of my country and seen exceptional places and I hope to be able to share and show some of what I have been able to see and feel
