Raas Leela Painting

I have been painting since my childhood. I am a very creative person. Art comes naturally to me. I do murals, 3d glass painting, tanjore painting , resin art also.i have also learnt many Indian form of art like patt chitra, madhubani, tribal painting. I use paintings as way of expressing myself. It’s hard for me to live in boundaries and follow rules . Art helps in my defying them. So I usually paint when I am too happy ot too upset. I also draw inspiration from my surroundings. I love to observe the nature around and paint. I guess this is one of the reason my paintings are usually bright and vibrant. I feel colours add life to us and to canvases too. The special thing about my art is the technique by which the painting is created. I make special textures on the canvas. These are unique and cannot be created again or copied. Thick colours are used to give a more remarkable appearance. I do a lot of experimental painting and have developed my own unique style of creating different textures and forms on the canvas. The very important factor about my art is the colour scheme. I am a trained colour therapist and also reiki healer. So all my paintings are designed in a way that they create a positive atmosphere. Also they elevate different moods and feelings according to the colours used. So for every space may it be office or home different colours are used. Also i use symbols in my paintings. They also play a very important role in creating positivity around. In almost all my paintings the colours are bright and vibrant. Any form of figure which depicts negativity is not used. The style in which I create my paintings is also unique. I never start a painting with an idea in my mind. I just play with colours on the canvas and something automatically comes up. I just go with the flow. It’s a very effortless and beautiful process. It feels as if the canvas itself chooses its subject. Being a dental surgeon, I know there are a lot of rules and principles which you have to follow in everything and every procedure. But painting gives me wings to fly. I feel free on the canvas. As if the world is limitless and anything is possible. It helps me channelize all my emotions in a positive manner.
