Radio Telescope at the Very Large Array Painting

I get so much inspiration from the Very Large Array. It’s three sets of double train tracks running nine miles in three directions, each with nine of these 82” (25m) wide telescopes that have been making major observations from the most distant objects to gravity itself for over forty years. ? An hour away from Socorro, New Mexico, and with highway 60 running through one of its arms, these telescopes are enormous and loud and beautiful. The purple mountains in the distance were a feature when the site was chosen for the VLA, because they block much of the radio signals coming from surrounding areas.
