About The Artwork
As a biologist I have always been fascinated by the microscopically small organisms in the marine group called radiolarians. They in fact consist of one cell only, but still have the ability to build something as incredibly beautiful, delicate and intricate as their shell. They come in many different shapes. I used acrylics, black and white charcoal as well as pencil to to capture their beauty not in a scientific drawing but in a work of art.
