Rainbow of Leaves Painting

A gust of autumn wind catches a tree lying on the edge of a bright pool of water by surprise. The trunk resembles the profile of a multi-faceted female body. The branches, its outstretched arms, and the unravelling of its foliage upwards, are suddenly bent to one side and let themselves go to the rush of the wind, intertwining in a harmonious dance. The leaves form a pinwheel of colour around the tree, which then gives them to the sky, in a rainbow of colours that entirely fills the second canvas of this painting. The wind blows them away, but then the leaves tend to fall back to the foot of the tree, return to the earth and the circle of life begins again, endlessly. The tree, which follows the autumn wind in its natural cycle, stands out on the canvas with a rainbow of fairy-tale colours against a striking fuchsia background: a strong hue, impressing, eye-catching, arousing vibrant emotions. A colour that comes from the mix of cold and warm, blue and red, the first calming, the second accelerating the heartbeats and inflaming the soul with overwhelming love passion. A colour that cannot be forgotten, a painting that sticks in the memory after just one glance and draws the viewer into the whirlwind of emotions stirred by the multicoloured leaves, in a fantastic natural setting. All four elements are present here: earth, air, water and fire in the predominant colour. The bare, multi-coloured tree is made of real branches, made vivid and brilliant by the colours and gold leaf that dress them. The rainbow leaves, running with the wind, can be chased and almost captured one by one, so vivid is the material presence that the multi-coloured chalk gives them. The combination of fuchsia and gold expresses a strong and engaging energy in a mixture of contrasting feelings: joy and gracefulness, but also firmness; seductive sensuality and ambitious determination.
