VIEW IN MY ROOM
First of a series of abstract, surrealist, somehow organic and suggestive paintings, named after the language created by Julio Córtazar for Chapter 68 of his novel "Hopscotch", seemingly senseless and unintelligible but entirely evocative. The title for each individual piece is intended to be the name of a bird in Asturian, the language of my homeland, this time being "raitán", which means "robin". I think I'm choosing these bird names as a humble homage to some of my favourite surrealists (Max Ernst and Remedios Varo), having both of them a obvious "something" with birds.
