Ramjet Painting

Abstract acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, sides painted roughly, no visible staples, ready to exhibit. A seemingly inpromptu painting, this canvas has actually been worked on for many months. The vertical support is layered acrylic that has reached its final composition. All my paintings must go through many incarnations before the final format is realized. I spend many hours, weeks, and months evaluating a particular piece. Subtracting and adding various elements, eventually I find myself in a place where I can no longer effect any further change to a particular piece. As I work on a painting a title will manifest itself. That title is also subject to change as I proceed through the painting. Alliteration is my favorite literary device, so I am constantly playing with words and phrases, until I find the right word or sequence of words that best fits a particular work. I am always on the hunt for great phraseology, arranging and rearranging a combination of words. In my multiple notebooks I keep track of things I hear in all media. always on the look out for that succinct perfect word or phrase, that will accentuate a painting to a tee. Thank you for looking.
