FROM THE CONVEYOR BELT TO A CRASH There is no man, no blood, the only victim is a car. On the canvas the automobile windows are coated with acrylic so the inside stays unknown/hidden, in this way the scene has been censored. The accident is ironic and the expected visual climax is getting away. With crushed cars I am steering towards danger, but the images are a scam. The scene is carefully directed, therefore what is seen is not a real car accident but crushed car toys. The car toys are damaged with vice and hammer, then photographed, enlarged and printed on paper. The process of transferring printed images on canvas is thoughtfully selected, since it is analogous to the industrial manufacture of cars on the conveyor belt. The real car paint is also used on canvases. Car images are glued on canvas or some other medium in a way they can always be crushed, changed, transformed and re-assembled and thus transfigured.
