About The Artwork
This painting is part of a series I've been working on that deals with childhood genetic diseases. I wanted to paint the children of these genetic diseases in a way that honored them and made them special. I also wanted to paint their portraits because I feel like I have a connection to them, and empathy for what they may have endured. My hope is that you feel the same connection to them as I do. And see that they are truly very beautiful and worthy of a portrait painting.
