This painting had been in my mind for months till I had time to paint it, hampered by commisions and my work as a teacher. After a few years avoiding art contests, I tried again and this painting was shortlisted in the 18th Manolo Valdés Art Contest -he is one of the most famous spanish artists alive- held in the city of his birth. Stripes fade out from one side to the other, making the background and the imperfections of the stripes more visible. Normally I fix any masking mistake , but in this painting I found them attractive and let them unfixed.

I was born in 1978 in Valencia, Spain. Colour and Geometry are the main items in my paintings. I move from precission to expression depending on times, but both are always present on my canvas. Besides painting, I work as an Art teacher in Secondary Education and in the Master Degree in Teacher Training.
