About The Artwork
A smaller art work from my fracture series which looks at our senses and levels of information in the universe. These pieces are created using a process based technique which builds up in layers from soft and chaotic to sharp and opaque. The work is created on plaster and is wall mounted with wooden supports to bring the piece slightly off the wall. I enjoy to work with unconventional materials; first building a relationship with the object through cleaning and sealing etc. The painted elements then begin in a very intuitive and natural manner. This composition avoids line, focusing on a cool turquoise and blue palette with rich bright yellow to further create an uplifting and positive feel.
