ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Oil & alkyd on Ampersand gessobord. This piece was inspired by the frailty of human nature. Often we recede into ourselves when confronted with challenges. Part of a diptych, this piece, as well as it's counterpart, seeks to represent the inner turmoil of the human psyche. I am drawn to nature and the endless variety of colours and texture. I try to incorporate vivid colours, reflective of the Caribbean, as well as expressionist marks, which I find add dept and visual interest.
