Reflections on the water Painting

We are all connected – humans to nature and the other way around. What one does can profoundly affect the other, for better or worse, as we are now witnessing. A zoonotic disease has ground the human world to a standstill, and likewise, humans have great capacity – and indeed often drive – to create havoc and harm in the natural world. Strip away the layers of civilization and the human world that has increasingly masked the natural world beneath and you will find that nature moves on without us. What harm we cause is ultimate to our own detriment. Nature repairs herself. Perhaps not as completely, but the absence of us would be nothing more than another species left to the wisps of history.Jorge Calero's intention regarding landscape is to de-construct matter and focus on light seeking to see and find the sweet spot between light and form; as Picasso said: Art is a lie that leads directly to the truth; Our mortal sight is limited but our internal perception is boundless. Seeing more than our eyes can see so we can understand nature; is not about plants or animals, it´s about our own joyful experience of having such a beautiful planet as home and taking care of it as the most important goal of our generation.
