About The Artwork

Reog is a traditional dance that becomes the main identity for Ponorogo regency. Because of this, Ponorogo is also known as Reog city. This theatre has been known wide in Indonesian even foreign tourists. Reog National Festival is held every year along the anniversary of the Ponorogo regency and Grebeg Suro celebration. Reog dance is also staged full moon nightly in Paseban, Ponorogo Town Square. Reog told about the struggle for a prince who will propose to a lovely pretty princess. This dance is staged by about 25 - 40 dancers with a musician. The interesting of Reog is his main leading figure named Singo Barong. The dancer of Singo Barong bears a mask about 30 - 40 kg weight and supported by the strength of their teeth. This artwork depicts another Indonesia’s cultural heritage in form of a mythical dance. This artwork will bring a sense of mystery, elegance, and vibrance to your home. Was done with acrylic on canvas since it does not take too long to dry it up. With a touch of Picasso's cubism, I added up my own art style into it. It has a smooth physical texture and is equipped with a high-quality frame as well as hanging hardware.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I was born in Indonesia on June 20th, 1966, as the youngest son among four children of my parents. I was raised in a small town called Mojokerto, and till now I still dwell in the same town with my own family. My works are influenced by Pablo Picasso and my draw inspirations come from my background as a Chinese Indonesian. I incorporate an Indonesian traditional art element called batik and Chinese element into my works, forming my own style of art. The technique I use is just basic techniques for cubism, but I also added a traditional batik element to fill the empty spaces. Mostly, I love doing acrylic on canvas because it does not need a long time to dry up.
