Painting: Acrylic, Oil on Canvas.
I was inspired by an exhibition by Marina Abramovic "The Cleaner" in Bonn, where I came across her manifesto.
Especially a thesis aroused my interest, which reads "The artist should die consciously but without fear. He should / must put his death in scene“.
The thoughts about this thesis have aroused several questions in me:
Is it important how an artist died? Does it make a difference if it was an accident or suicide? Does the death of an artist make his art more interesting or is it irrelevant to the audience?
