About The Artwork

The painting was created using unique colors: acrylic fluorescent (glows under UV light), acrylic phosphorescent (glow in the dark after targeting electric light and it shows the true meaning of the painting). There are not amenable to photographing the layer of painting glows in the dark - it's soul slain in wars. Comment by the author: Twentieth Century "famous" a fair amount of iconic disasters, the two World Wars and the technological revolution. All this was accompanied by massive loss of life and complete disregard for the problems of the individual. A byproduct of the twentieth century was the millennial change meanings. For example, since ancient times red poppy symbolizes hypnotic sleep and death, but after the First World, he became a symbol of remembrance of those who died in the war, and after the Second World War - a symbol of remembrance of those who died in all wars. Freshwater red shrimp in all ages been a symbol of a long and happy life, but in the last 5-7 years have suddenly become the most fashionable pet, symbolizing a successful businessman who knows how to adapt to any situation and find a favorable tide. XXI century is given to us to make sense of what happened. We see that new generations follow each other, like the waters of the river - a river of life. But where are the red poppies grow where they grow? They grow on the ground fighting for the forgotten mass graves, and only the darkness of night can reveal over poppies glow Soldiers shower, which flies like a river. In this course - the succession of generations, from the Ukrainian folk lullaby "I crush, crush poppy" to the pacifist anthem «Sag mir, wo die Blümen sind (Where are the flowers, give me an answer)" performed by the incomparable Marlene Dietrich (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVAvhJtqPEI). It is said that war is not over until the last soldier is buried. Poppies blooming so well camouflage a old forgotten grave. But if over poppies shining soul slain, does that mean that their war is not over yet? Who will answer? XXI century must find your answer ... EXPOSITION FEATURES: Since this picture is not a landscape, but a conceptual painting and even a part of the per-formance, the exposure conditions for this work are quite special. First of all, the use of phospho-rescent paints in the creation of a picture dictates the need to exhibit it in halls without windows, with bright electric lighting, which will be periodically turned off so that the hidden images can glow in the dark. Then, in the period of turning off the lighting on the wall next to the picture, you should show a video with Marlene Dietrich, in German singing the song "Where are the flowers, give me an answer" ("Sag mir, wo die Blümen sind"), which gave the name to this art-work (a link to the video is in the author's commentary). After that, you should turn on the light-ing again and allow viewers to read the author's comment in a language they understand (or sev-eral languages), placed next to the picture. Also, at the request of the organizers, for the com-pleteness of the perception of the cultural context, the exposition can be supplemented by the au-thor's singing (in record or live) of the Ukrainian folk lullaby "I'm press the poppy", which, through the novel "Quiet Flows the Don," inspired by M.Sholokhov, inspired Pete Seeger on writing the main anti-war hymn of our world "Where are the flowers, give me an answer?"

Only PRINTS are presented here. I am a painter, and actress (I specialize in the characters of aristocrats in historical and fantasy movies), and a singer, and environmental activist, and body positive icon from Kyiv. I have poor health, so I often sit by the window and watch the lives of others. Not surprisingly, I'm also a philosopher :-) I have lived in different countries, but returned to Ukraine before the war. In that country even before the war live was difficult and dangerous, so it is very interesting. In Ukraine, even the very survival depends on the kind of food you buy for dinner. And in wartime, you just have to survive and eat not every day. So here I feel alive - it inspires creativity. My paintings is contain in one museum in Kyiv and many private collections in Europe (including EU). My name is Helgána Shyshkina-Rybalskaya (I am also known as Tiny Lady Helgána). As of 2024, I have already received a special prize from the jury of the prestigious International Luxembourg Art Prize “For High Quality Art” 4 times. By the way, my medium term work on the painting is 9 months. I have the best job in the world: I can recreate the lost beauty of our planet that is destroyed, and can create New Worlds. In the twentieth century, people have seen a lot of grief, we learned a lot of trouble. So in the twenty-first century, I try to give them their creativity only positive emotions. A bit of biography: From the very childhood I wanted to become the artist only. I was draw when it is only possible, I was draw at all, what is only possible, I was draw as often as possible. When I began to painting on furniture, parents tired to fight with this talent and decided to send me to study art. So in the 4 years old I first went to vocational training to painting to the private teacher. Then newspapers started writing about me as about the child prodigy from Kyiv. Over the years, I began to have other hobbies: I was a member of the girl's synchronized swimming team, I graduated from music school, I graduated from acting school, at 15 I organized the rock band "Shadows of Mirkwood", where I was a front girl and the author, and my stage name was Elven Queen Gaenelos... But painting has always been my main love. https://www.instagram.com/helgana_art/ https://www.youtube.com/@helgana_creates_art_3690 https://www.singulart.com/en/artist/helgana-shyshkina-rybalskaya-9439 www.helgana.wix.
