BIOGRAPHY

Gabriela Vegna lives and works in Milan.
After his studies in tecnology he obtains a graphic advertising Diploma at the I.E.D.
He starts his professional carear as a Junior designer in an architectural studio.
After he partecipates, as a set Designer assistant at the Festival Opera Barga, Teatro dei Differenti, Barga (Lucca) where he contributes to the set designs of the opera Demetrio e Polibio by Giacchino Rossini and La Traviata di Giuseppe Verdi.
At the beginning of the 80s he works first with photographic and Advertising offices and finally for the Publicis Group, one of the best known International Communication network. He creates several advertising campaigns for well known companies as Bassetti, Bosh, Dainese, lOreal, Mellin, Primigi, Siemens, Snam Metano.
For Snam Metano he produces the institutional advertising campaign with the artist J. M. Folon.
He works personally on the production of the video and the outdoor billboards.
He came to painting by chance, to escape boring Tv evenings. His paintings are an homage to Rock music. Music which has been the sound track of his generation that many called crazy but, nevertheless able to create the genial irreverence of the Countercolture among its leaders.
Whose leaders have been the musicians that have inspired his work.
Icones of a generation with strong tensions and contraddictions that has been able, with the strength of its own ideas, to dismember and recreate in a firmed way, the thought, the habits and the way of life of people all around the world.
Counterculture that has become in its own right, heritage of world colture where those musician will belong forever.
