About The Artwork
March 2018 I lost an important person in my life after he has been in a deep coma for 7 month due to a brain stroke. Coping with the pain of grieving, it felt as if the world has lost its colors and my life was covered by a thick veil of sadness. The nudes represent my struggle to see the beauty of life again and trying to dissolve the veil. The nudes in the “Unveiled” series are sketched with charcoal and painted in black and white on a lacelike texture. The lacelike texture is highlighted with silver paint.
