About The Artwork

Rocket Fuel is complete! And its not just an artwork this time! Working late nights, sometimes through the whole night- coffee really is my rocket fuel. But I had to find a way to put this point across without having to write it down, so I thought to myself ‘hey, why not actually show people what I mean?’ And the Rocket Fuel handmade animation was created. This became the perfect way for me to enter the NFT space too, because I felt that just an image of my art would be too easy. Making this animation has opened a whole new world for me, and a whole new way for me to put my art out in the world. I’m very excited about this journey, I feel like it’s going to be quite interesting. Alright, back to the original artwork now. Boy, this one took time to complete. 402 hours, and a little more than 60 cups of coffee for whoever’s keeping count, but it was such an incredible learning. I know I always say that this artwork was a great learning, but it truly was! Try drawing liquid and foam with a pencil, and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Especially when the one pencil I needed for the base colour was not available anywhere, so I had to experiment and find the right new colours I could mix into it for actually making the work. But as always, it increased my knowledge. I can make so many more artworks now that I know how to work this style, how I should hold the pencil, how much I need to heat the paper, everything. Hyperrealism’s such a fun journey.

Hello! I'm Kabir, an emerging hyperrealist artist based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. My artistic journey over the past year has been deeply rooted in the nuanced shades and textures that colored pencils bring to life. My dedication to hyperrealism is more than a display of meticulous technique; it is a passion that captures the essence of my subjects with striking clarity. Having received the prestigious Top in Country award for Art & Design in 2021, my resolve is to continuously refine my skills and knowledge. I am on a path toward earning a Bachelor's and Master's in Fine Art, which I believe will further expand my horizons and enhance my craft. Art is a relentless quest for growth and perfection, and I am committed to embracing the challenges that come with it. I welcome feedback and constructive criticism, as they are invaluable to my artistic development. I believe that every piece of art is a conversation, and I am eager to engage with fellow art enthusiasts and critics alike.
